Privacy Policy for Komrad Guard Scanner

Komrad Guard Scanner is an operations app for Komrad admins, owners, and authorized guard staff. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when authorized staff use the app for ticket scanning and event entry management.

This app is intended for internal staff use only. Customer-facing features may be added in future updates.

Information We Collect

Komrad Guard Scanner may process the following information:

- Staff access/session information, such as a staff PIN or local session status.
- Ticket validation information, such as ticket tokens, order status, customer ticket details, and scan results.
- Recent scan activity, such as successful scans, failed scans, duplicate scans, timestamps, and validation messages.
- Device and technical information needed for the app to work, such as network access, app version, and basic error or connectivity status.

The app uses the device camera only to scan QR codes. The app does not use the camera to record video, take photos for storage, or collect biometric information.

How We Use Information

Information is used to:

- Verify tickets at Komrad events.
- Help authorized staff manage entry flow.
- Show ticket status and recent scan activity.
- Maintain staff sessions during authorized use.
- Troubleshoot app connectivity and scanning issues.
- Open relevant ticket or product pages when staff use app links.

Data Storage

Some session information may be stored locally on the device to keep authorized staff signed in for a limited time. Ticket and scan information may be sent to Komrad systems or connected service providers used to validate tickets and manage event operations.

Komrad Guard Scanner does not sell personal information.

Data Sharing

Information may be shared only when needed to operate the app and event workflow, including with:

- Komrad systems used for ticket validation and event operations.
- Service providers that support ticket, order, website, or backend functionality.
- Legal or safety authorities if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.

The app may open external Komrad ticket or product pages in a web browser. Purchases or interactions on those external websites may be governed by the privacy policy and terms of that website.

Permissions

Komrad Guard Scanner may request the following permissions:

- Camera: used to scan ticket QR codes.
- Internet/network access: used to validate tickets and sync event information.
- Vibration/audio feedback: used to provide scan success or alert feedback where supported.

Permissions are requested only for app functionality related to ticket scanning and event operations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the app. However, no mobile app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Authorized staff should keep access credentials, PINs, and devices secure and should not share access with unauthorized users.

Data Retention

Session information stored on the device may be removed when a staff member signs out, when the session expires, or when the app data is cleared. Ticket validation and scan records may be retained by Komrad systems for event operations, fraud prevention, support, reporting, and legal compliance.

Children's Privacy

Komrad Guard Scanner is not designed for children and is not intended for use by users under 18. The app is intended for Komrad admins, owners, and authorized event staff.

Account Access and Deletion

Komrad Guard Scanner is an internal staff operations app and does not provide public customer account creation inside the app. Authorized staff who need access removed or who have questions about data associated with their use of the app should contact Komrad.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
